    i used to think i had insomnia bad for years and years - i stopped drinking tea or coffee in the evenings and it solved the problem.
    even a tiny little bit of caffeine it seems is enough to keep my brain going.

    also, dont have a nap in the afternoon or evening otherwise you'll never sleep at bedtime

    exercise or doing something to tire yourself out (ooer! - walking to/from work etc) will help

    best advice though is to NOT lie in bed worrying that "im not getting to sleep" and get up and go through to living room or kitchen and read (do not put the TV on, itl just waken you more).
    going through to another room makes your brain not associate BED with "lying not being able to sleep"

    • exercise in the afternoon, avoid "screens" at night (Tv / Computer/ etc)MSTRPLN
