Like the boldness of the homepage thing but it lacks some call to action/motivation to see more: you are basing your message on those three copy lines which are pretty dull. And there is nothing that let the user think that in someway you're special/interesting.
Especially considering there's no visible call to action.(and what the others said about the thumbnail gallery)
