I had a buddy from college who was in the boating industry..he came up with sort of boating widget or whatever it was back in the late 90's and signed some sort of exclusive vendor deal with Walmart. He thought he had made it. They ate him up and spit him out with insane demands on production and delivery, left him in debt and in the end they had the ownership of the widget, which they ended up discontinuing a year later anyway.
