slugs are hermaphrodites, and during sex they both penetrate each other with their large penises. Unfortunately, sometimes their penises get stuck, and they can't disengage from sex. When this happens, they have to resort to 'apophallation' - the slug chews its partner's penis off to escape from the embrace. The penis does not grow back. . maybe you coud make a question out of that, its nice trivia i think!
