I've just done a shop with magento, but I didn't really like the way they have their themes set up. The Layouts are set up by xml-files, which can be overwritten by inline code (edited on the backend). It's a bit too scattered for my taste.
Magento wasn't really easy to set up either. Getting the host to install all the libraries for php and enabling pear-connection to the magento site for updates. And manually editing some files with solutions from the forums.
I also tried the wordpress-plugin Nairn suggested, but as my project required a Ideal-payement gateway, and that wasd not supported by that plugin I had to go another route.
