Since 1996 I've spent a lot of time in Amsterdam as my dad moved there with work..so for me, i suppose, its more nostalgiac, as I remember all those great summer days flying round on my bike. I come from Dublin where its EXTREMELY expensive and our public services are shit so I appreciate how well things work there. I've always felt at home in Amsterdam, it has everything you want in a big city and everything you want from a small village in my opinion. Plus the best music venue in the world, The Pardiso.

- if you want a well-working city go to Zurich, Switzerland.. oh and bring a bag of cash..janne76
- ja Zurich is amazing in this case, but the rent is cheaper then in Amsterdammoamoa
- I know teh Dutch like to complain..but come to Dublin (if you can because there isnt proper public transport from the airport to the city centre).
