So in certain cases are any of you print designers finding that livesurface is taking the place of physical, hand-made comps?
The other day a co-worker and I comped up a somewhat elaborate print piece. It's three brochures in one. The cover is a gatefold in the front with a pocket in the back. It has a spine for capacity. The main brochure is saddle stitched into the spine, with two other brochures that fit into the back pocket. I can't imagine something so complex ever becoming a template on livesurface.
Just curious exactly how you guys use it. I like the idea that it wastes no paper, and takes a lot less time than physical comping.
- I'm not really a print guy, these are very useful but I don't think you can beat your own handmade stuff.Jnr_Madison
