    IMO £40/hr is high esp. for leeds (if you are there) unless you are a PHP, asp, AS or anyother shit hot developer.

    A straight forward designer for that much is in my opinion high...

    Having said that I do not know your background.

    I worked with a great Creative Director and he charged £250-£280 a day.

    If you can get £40/hr your doing good... just have a look at the DW pay survey
