Ripping off Saul Bass was pretty much how I got through 2nd year in college. I had seen all the posters and film intros, loved all the rough hand-drawn type and colours. But then I went to an exhibition in the Design Museum in London after graduating and saw the other side to his design, the logos, the packaging etc. It was all gorgeous and so different to the film work.
After years in college of looking at CD's and film posters it made me realise that corporate design could be lovely and interesting too.
