thankful to be alive.
last night, while queuing at a red light, a car from behind slammed onto mine and my car lunged forward onto the car in front. the next thing i knew my girlfriend was frantically calling my name pleading me to wake up. outside people were yelling and calling for help. a guy was trying to open my door.
when i got my focus back, i looked at my girlfriend and asked her if she's ok and she said she's fine. then i tried to comfort her, not realizing my left leg was pinned down and that was the moment when i realize the pain. after about half an hour i was excavated out of the car and brought to the hospital.
now my girlfriend and i are home. she has minor cuts and bruises. i came away from the mess with a broken tibia, fractured patella and fractured femur, but thankful to be alive.
