Good luck on the quitting, mate - it's so worth it..
If you can, get a Chantix (champix in the uk) prescription and you won' t have one withdrawal pang, I didn't, anyway.
You must have heard all the cliches, but it's true - you breath better, 25% fitter in a week with no exercise, food tastes spectacularly better, hair is better (I'd never seen anyone say that til this thread, but it's so true), smell better, - - feel freer ! - - , plus the ability to satisfy and latest piousness or smugness by being a 'reformed smoker', you too can be 'one of them', 'nothing worse than an ex-smoker', people say, and you can prove them right by doing that thing around people smoking - you know, that thing where you screw your nose up and wave your hand gayly...and it really DOES smell as bad as all those bloody non-smokers used to harp on about, eurhghhh...
Save your smoking money and go for a really nice meal somewhere, once your taste buds start working again its just magic.
It's almost worth smoking, to be able to stop, so you can retaste food, and get a much bigger boost from coffee.
