    HAHAH. dude i just went through the same shit. i tried to be slick and buy another battery on ebay for $50. THIS is what turned out happening:

    it fucking expanded and was going to explode! it had expanded so much that i couldn't even press down the trackpad button.

    now i don't have a battery in my macbook, because all of the local apple stores are out of them. fuck yea!
