I remember watching a movie back in the late 80s that was kind of riffing 'The Princess Bride', but was specifically made using footage from loads of other (shitty) movies made at the time.
I can't recall whether it was a part of the movie ("trapped in a world of movies") or whether it was just truly, deeply shit and cheap.
Does this ring any bells for anyone?
Around the same time, we also rented 'The wizard of space and time' - the Indian chap in our video shop either had a devious sense of humour, or just didn't give a fuck, and got whatever he could, as cheaply as he could.
