    Forget about not-sharing for the first few months to a year.

    You can 'get by' and live a moderately enjoyable existence on £25k. Any less and you'll be impinging on the full potential of a convenient consumer lifestyle.

    I know Spanish people who live less consumer lifestyles who have a great time around £20k - I know other people who couldn't possibly function on less than £35k. It all depends on your outlook and expectations.
