    Having been a waiter for several years in the past, wouldn't have offended me at all, especially if qualified by a "...just kidding".

    Now, I would've thought you were a tool; but a dick, not so much.

    Then again, Nairn once called me a "mad Christian dick", so my opinion should be weighed with a grain of Dead Sea salt.
