  Dude, calling an asian "oriental" is like calling an african-american "colored."

  Im sorry to inform you that your concept is wrong.
  When he said "oriental" he is meaning people from the Orient Hemisphere, where as you probably know china is geographically located at.

  In some countries Oriental is the preferred term, and asian, could result in an offense.
