The Lucida is a lot better.
I think it needs a light typeface but one with a bit of flair in it. You could custimize the font a bit, maybe add a rounded of corner or a small serif?
(To make it go a bit more with the looseness of the lightbulb)
By the way: they should give you at least a bit of money for doing work for them. If they are a startup just tell them they can pay you from their first job. It could be as little as $100,- Just so you feel appreciated.
You are doing a great job, even giving them 10 versions...!You are even designing a logo for a client of theirs...! They get paid for that, right?
