    no joke.......a lot of "good" first world jobs are pretty shitty. My pops worked for a major paper manufacturer (you definitely buy their products) and they had this thing where they wanted to hit 1 million man hours with no lost time accidents. ( Grocery stores cant even do that.)

    They had a policy that if NOBODY in the entire plant (like 2k people) got injured @ all, then everybody got an extra week (maybe it was 2) of vacation.

    This created an environment where people were getting injured and not reporting it because they would have 1999 people pissed off at THEM. This one guy had 4 fingers severed, and rather than report it, he put them in his work gloves, THREW THEM AWAY and clocked out and went home. Said he did it on his own time.

    Long story short, somebody found them and he ended up getting fired for not following procedure.
