I told someone that it's not a problem to go to a job interview (for design position) and to have a tattoo and that it's ok to not wear a suit (lawyer style)..
he said this:They are only a problem if you want to get a real job as a designer. Employers only half care about skill, presenting yourself as a punk will surely never get you hired.
--so, if you have tattoos, you are a punk?
- if it's on your face, then yes.Jnr_Madison

- This is going to sound like hedge but I wear ties to work almost everyday ... and at the moment I have freedom cuff links too!********
- links too! They're nice claddagh ones ... go well with my "Hello Kitty" band aid on my left hand.********
- You should dress nicely when going to any interview. If you have a tattoo, nothing you can do about it....but don't flaunt it.Jaline
- I'm fine with either casual or formal dress during each day (I prefer casual), but interviews should be about impressions.Jaline
