I just bought this lens after doing a lot of research (including suggestions from QBN members):

    Futureshop is the cheapest.

I put it on hold over the phone this morning, and went to get it around 2 hours ago. The girl working with the cameras said, "Oh yeah!!! I have it here..."

She then told me that she would take it out so I can look at it (I don't usually care, but I'm spending a lot of money on it, so why not). She seriously almost had an orgasm right there from taking this lens out of its box. I could tell that she knew a lot about photography, and after I held the lens (it's quite light), she dreamily mentioned, "Wow....it's so nice." It was another beat before she put it back in its box, and proceeded to help me find some other things I needed. She asked me a lot of questions about what classes I was taking and where. I guess she's just curious about photography classes in general.

Anyway, I travelled for about 2 hours, in total (back and forth) just to get to the store on the bus (I think our car is almost out of gas), primarily because of the awesome price at Futureshop.

And just now someone contacted me about my Flickr images and concert photos. They really like my photos. People also contact me about selling my photos but I never really got into that idea. Maybe in the future, when I actually learn more about photography. I'm a n00b right now and it doesn't feel right to make money on it.

Perhaps this "taking a photography class" idea isn't so bad after all.
