For anyone more interested in the newer blues musicians: Jack White and The Black Keys do the same things. On the blackpool dvd Jack White's guitar intro to Death Letter is quite similar to Zeppelin's version of In My Time of Dying (A Blind Willie Johnson song). The Black Keys take material from one of their major influences, RL Burnside, and rework it ("Busted").

    • I have tons of Blind Willie Johnson on tape. He IMO is the best ever blues. Great voice.capn_ron
    • Jack White also copied some licks off Rush's self-titled album.ismith
    • Not trying to fault him, I think Jack White is very talented just making the point that its common practice in bluesRushmore
