I've got insomnia. I left QBN hours ago, now I have nothing better to do than to return. I watched Paronama which was about the recession. In typical Nu-Paronama Jeremy Vine style it was a totally subjective tabloid style panic-fest featuring lots of desolate and depserate people hit by the credit crunch and recession... such as two pikey girls who were being forced to pawn a pair of earring for ten pounds so they could afford to go to argos and buy ( I kd you not) a pair of earrings. A bloke who was having to sell his pub for one pound strling to crawl from under the pile of debts he'd mounted up (surely that's just being unintelligent, not a sign of recession) and various other tales. And although it was all daft, and althouth the studio is rock solid at the moment and I'm as bust as I ever am... I still started thinking Hmmmmm, what if that's me someday soon?
So now I can;t fucking sleep. Thanks Jeremy Vine. Thanks Paronama. I hope next week's show is them reporting on the detrimental effects of making rubbish, ill-researched, lazy, sensationalist docudramas.
