  how is an IP ban possible? all I have to do is reset my modem and I get a new IP. most people don't have static IPs. unless they ban a whole block of addresses, which could take out entire cities.

  • many offices have T1 and have static ip addresses. at home it is much easier to get a new ip,emukid
  • no, you can ban a range, since most ISP has a range.

  • but if you ban a range, you take out anyone with that ISPacescence
  • and still don't block the person since they can just go use a hotspot...ribit
