3.) like any other nation, makes mistakes, commits crimes, and falls prey to shortsighted blunders (unlike many other nations, pays for them in full); currently under threat from encroaching fascism emerging from far left in politics, media, academia (political-media-academic complex – heh) in the form of political correctness, Orwellian thoghtcrime hysteria, multiculturalism (as opposed to pluralism), identity politics, and dishonest agenda-driven media
