    Ikea kitchens are fine for the cabinetry if you're re-doing everything. Get custom counters and hardware, though. Butcherblock is great for counters, tung oil it and you're good to go.

    Bottom-Freezer Fridge.

    Don't get stainless, it's a PITA to keep clean.

    And get some nice cabinet hardware. Rocky Mountain or Du Verre are both awesome and different than the average stuff.
