Sorry, but there is no easy way to transfer a file from Illustrator into Indesign. Illustrator holds text differently than the frames in Indesign, also in Illustrator you don't need a frame to hold text, but in Indesign you do need.
The main issue here is for you to tell your boss or owner of this project that they need to educate themselves because transferring files to Indesign in absolutely inefficient.
The best thing to do is to keep the files in Illustrator, and send PDFs or create a PDF book of the project, so that they can view it the way they want.
