    sensor and iso quality are pretty important, as in the higher the iso is, the shittier it looks usually (above 800 in canons so far)... but this is supposed to be fixed.... in all, if you want a full frame camera and canon 5d is something you might be thinking about, the new one should be out in the next couple of months. i am waiting for it.... in my experience, i would recommend buying the new body and an insanely basic lens, then rent anything that requires extra length or width. there are lenses that are near the quality of canon but require a separate part to make the "other" (like a sigma or something) lens fit the canon body. people buy canon lenses for the quality of glass... but this is fast becoming torn apart by companies like nikon, who have started to produce better glass over the past couple of years.
