"According to a campaign official, the plan is to send out the text message a few hours before Obama's 12pm CT event in Springfield. Most everyone in the national press corps think that it's Joe Biden. But no one knows, and no one is willing to pull the trigger. I can confirm reporting by NBC News that Gov. Tim Kaine's associates are saying that Obama did not choose him, although I don't have any first hand accounts.Sources close to Biden and Bayh have been in lockdown mode."
