i don't wanna speak for flav, but i kinda get where he's coming from. When you see people in your life, whom you care about, lose their lives, which they dearly wanted to hold on to, the people who commit suicide seem like they throwing something valuable away. Like if you had a bunch of friends who were starving and you saw someone else throw a 4 course meal in the dump, you'd be pissed that that person is wasting what others would cherish.
But i get the other side too. Someone close to me has a chronic pain condition and depression issues (which feed each other). She is in varying amounts of pain at all times, to the point where she can't have a regular job or do things that well people take for granted. Because the pain condition is somewhat untreatable and uncurable, in her darkest hours she speaks of dying as a relief and a release. In those moments, and i imagine the moments when people do try to kill themselves, there is no rational thought. There's only escape.
And i'm sure for some, the reason they want out is superficial. But lumping those few in with those who are actually suffering is a mistake.- who the fuck is going to read all of this?********
- obviously not you. Too bad, though. There's clues to where my treasure is buried. Arrrhlocustsloth
