This happened a few years ago but I got fired / laid off from a Firm on a Monday morning, AFTER I had spent the better half of a month giving them an idea, presentation, mock-ups, story-boards, the whole nine yards to help them land a huge deal for a pretty big named client. The Friday before we heard that we landed the multi-million dollar deal. On Monday I get let go. As I'm packing my things up around my desk not happy about the whole ordeal the CEO of the company comes by our department and goes "I'd like to shake the hand of the guy who did all this work" and I peaked over my cube and said back "I did, over here... the guy who's packing up all his SHIT cause you just laid him off 3 hours ago did it. I think you've done enough already." Silence. Complete silence.
