  segue into another grown-up move up:
  When I graduated I was supposed to start working at a local firm here in Detroit, I went in for three separate interviews, everything seemed to be going real well. Third interview I even signed some paperwork. After graduation I had a two-week vacation planned (which they knew about). So while on vacation, near the end of it no less, I get an email from them saying they currently have enough staff to meet their project needs and that they couldn't bring me on. So I came back from vacation jobless and without prospect of a job.

  Took me until two weeks ago to find another one.
