    Reasons why metallica sucks:

    -choch metal (lets see your best mullets, metallica fans)
    -lame production
    -lame vocals
    -have digressed as musicians over the years; think St. Anger
    -lack of any real dynamics in studio and live work
    -pompous quasi-classical techniques without any of the taste of classical masters (One?)
    -have made it obvious they care more about their payroll than they do their music
    -part of a media machine that emphasizes aesthetic over actual musicianship

    Ok, now do your best to blast Zappa. If the best you can come up with is 'art-rock' or it's 'cheesy' then please, humble yourself yet again. Yeah, I know Zappa isn't for everyone but lets compare them as musicians - what they should be being compared as - and not for their fanbase.
