I think it's all a mixed metaphor, with the slick, commercial looking bits along with the hand-drawn scraps of paper. They don't go together visually, or thematically.
- I thought maybe it made it more visually interesting, having something neat and clean with stuff stuck on it? Like... I don't know. :)GORADIO
