    I'm buying my younger brother a PC tonight (lazy bum....but I'm happy to help out when I can) so that he can use it for university (he's going into some crazy Biomedical + Electrical Engineering program). I think I'm going with HP, although Toshiba looks good as well. Maybe I will pick up an internal HD for myself as well.

    I looked at my school schedule, and now we have options to choose between the following electives for the 4th and final semester (January - April 2010):

    - Game Development (self-explanatory)

    - Design and Authoring III (advanced-level features and capabilities of alternative authoring tools; topics can include computer-based training, video sprite authoring, card authoring, and DVD authoring).

    - Web Media (media channels such as blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, Wiki's, social media and online worlds are examined).

    - Rich Internet Services (building upon knowledge of server and browser-based scripting and creating database-driven web applications).

    I would like to do some game development, but I think the last two would be more useful to me. I don't have to select for a while though.
