Let's make this more consistent with Figs 6.2 and 6.3
I think the tails of vector arrows in this figure should begin at the centers of spheres because we have to measure a center-to-center displacement delta x. There will be other figures where this won't matter.
Tip of displacement vector arrows should go to the center of the appropriate sphere:
-tip ends at center of ghosted sphere at point A in part B
-tip ends at center of ghosted sphere at point B in part A
Would you rather have gray or black displacement vector arrows? One could argue either way. See Figs 18.2 and 18.9; compare with Figs 6.2 and 6.3. In Fig 18.9, we appear to have a position component, so maybe gray makes sense. Your call.- gray, definitely!neverblink
