#2 with cross-hatched waves, not that antique clip art you've strangely chosen to employ.
I'm going to go against the grain and suggest that I quite like the direction #5 is going in. I think it needs quite a bit of work still, but I dig the retro west-coast feel [I assume] it's going for. I guess this one's heavily dependent on ultimate deployment - it's a bit hard to appreciate in this stark context.
I'd like to see a version of #1 that has slightly hexagonal background blocks for the text (like old motel/petrol signage?).
#3 simply doesn't work for me.
#4 is yawn-inducing and generic.
