I am scared of what the other implications will be. Things that we cannot presently see. I am also frightened of an alternative agenda attached to it. Rise in Oil costs has been a great thing because it has driven much innovation in the US. But what if because of policies passed as a result of global warming we had to start paying $15 for a gallon of gas? what if they taxed the hell out of us to "lower carbon emissions" or put a limit on how many children we can have? This might be far fetched but I don't think the outcome will be just to pollute less.
