I'm probably stating the obvious here, but Pravda is not well-known for its record of objective journalism.
Regarding the Russian perspective, the leadership doesn't seem to have much compunction about indiscriminately bombing civilian areas. Putin and his cronies have all but negated the forward movement toward democracy in the wake of communism's demise. Sad.
