ive had my work in a few publications, yeah its a good thing to get - especially for the ol' portfolio and its a bit of a "thumbs-up" from your peers.nobody has said its a BAD thing to get your work in these publications.
my point earlier was that a LOT of the stuff in those publications are in there because the publication 'knows' that person.
im not saying their work is shit thats appearing.
but certainly, a lot of the time there is a lot of work out there that is of the same kaliber , if not better, but these people will never appear on these pages as they dont shout about their work or phone up magazines spouting off every story theyve got for PR under the sun or they dont take out advertising with the magazine or they arent from london lol.
