@Designbot: Blackle doesn't save any money if you're on an LCD panel.
It's very simple: The white backlight is either all 'on', or all 'off.' The LCDs simple change color to red, green, blue, transparent (white) or opaque (black). It uses the same amount of power whether you're displaying an entire white screen or a black screen.
This is in contrast to a CRT monitor, which actually does turn individual pixels off/on.
- And the only time it's all 'off' is because you've turned the monitor off, or it's asleep, or something similar.
