    I just ordered the upgrade myself, the sales person at MacMall said that I would have to install the DVD and enter my previous serial # to activate the software. The original 3.0 software apps. i.e. Photoshop, Indesign, etc... will still remain in your applications folder. You can keep them or toss them.
