    LCD is so much sharper than CRT... Being able to see each pixel of a 1-pixel border or small bitmap type is useful.

    You should be comparing a 20" LCD with a 22" CRT (same usable area)

    You shouldnt be surprised about it being fuzzy at anything other than the 'optimum resolution'... LCD's are pretty much hard-wired... Unlike CRTs they use individual physical pixels, so any other resolution is a fudge (one and a bit pixels)

    I found the new LaCie Photon20" LCD (1600x1200) a better deal than the Apple 20" (1680x1050)... adjustable height, the very cool clamp mount and desk mount, and thinner bezel, so if I can ever afford a second one of em, they can but up close to each other. (not really possible with the Apple displays)
