dear blog...
i am feeling stressed and over wellmed after my conference call with the owners last night stating that i have to re-schedule my business trip that which was supposed to leave for a duration of 4 weeks and to leave in 2 weeks from now.
the new schedule date is now for this sunday, thats 3 days away and now that means all the work i would have accomplished in the next 2 weeks is now gone and i have to merge all of my work to finalize it by the end of tomorrow night.
also now my business trip is for a 7 week stay and its in China in August and its that region's most humid and hot and muggy time of the year, so not looking forward to it.
and now i have to pack up over 100 store purchased samples and make sure they arrive in Taipei when i get there so i can review all the bags individually and make my revisions on them and get them produced within a 3 week schedule. on top of all of it i am being told i am accountable for other brands i do not even work on as i will be in the factory i will then be the director for the production of those brands.... oi so much work and not enough time to solve it. also i am alone on this and my team is not joining me.
so, any new yorkers, from NYC want to join me for some heavy pot smoking as i will do much b4 i leave sunday.
and thats that....
i hate stress... im edgy and cranky and lacking sleep and shoping the stores and learning their matrix and studying the competition and going to factories and concepting new looks and technicaly driven functions and sourcing new fabrications and materials and designing and tooling new hardware and logos development and creating molds and working closely with the plastic and metal manufacturers and opening molds for moving clasps and locks and more tooling hardware and it never ends!!!!
i did get a raise this week, so thats a fucking nice thing and i m getting another at the end of the year with a dope bonus!!!
so in the end, i thank all of you, thanks for being great consumers and keep buying innovation product and keep pushing us to design better and well designed and thought through product.
... wow letting it all out, this feels nice... like its not so much pressure...
maybe ill get laid too, i am there for 7 weeks... plus plus!!
