  I don't understand... if you can afford to move back to the UK, why not NYC or San Fran? NYC is a place where you could live temporarily till you get some money together.

  Chicago is a good city, and would be the best place near Indiana to find work. The green card thing is difficult...my wife got her green card last year, and you might not want to jeopardize it by leaving right away. Knowing what a bitch it was to get it and those crazy ass immigration government people...
