    I get this problem sometimes with my wireless keyboard and mouse, so what works for me is to press and hold down the connect button on the keyboard and mouse and the receiver. I know you need 3 hands to do this but you can hold the keyboard and mouse with one hand and the receiver with the other, hold all the buttons down for 10-15 seconds and hopefully you should be able to connect.
