    I recently read a true story called The Long Walk, about a Polish man who was imprisoned in Soviet Siberia during WW2. He and a group of other men escaped, travelling through Mongolia, China and Tibet. High up in the Himalayas, they saw two creatures around 8 feet tall. They stood upright and wallked with a loping gait. They had thick hair covering their bodies, with wispy longer hair scattered throughout. Their build was distinctly non-human, and all seven escapees saw these creatures from less than 50 yards away. The creatures did not seem to mind the men's presence at all.
