you can readily explore the coast, have plenty of weekend trip options, hiking, biking, surfing, weather is beautiful (i'm not even running an air conditioner and don't need to .. just open the windows), little natural disaster concern, air is much cleaner than other areas of LA, plenty of design/ad work near so you don't have to drive that much. you can immerse youself in a crowd on venice beach or enjoy exclusion in malibu.
i went to a dance apparel store yesterday and was invited to join their free yoga class on the beach every sunday. i like this kind of living.
