Pretty much have to say the places I've most wanted to live after visiting are Portland and Seattle.
I'd love to have a cool little place in the quiet part of the French Quarter in New Orleans, just cause it's a magic place..
Would also have somewhere in Manhattan, cause it's filthy, crazy and wonderful, but Im not sure I could stay put there for long..
Once you get the hang of it, the midwest is great - huge cheap houses, friendly, no-nonsense people that leave you alone, cheap gas, miles from anywhere with vast amounts of stupidity.
