This whole thing is a bit strange, reading the blog link that Jay sent, it could be that this is a malicious file, opening a .scr file and getting a virus of some kind. Could also be dodge software, could be anything. We don't even know the OS!! If a restart and virus/spy check won't do it I don't know what could.
