Local sports-radio personality Tim "Buzz" Kilpatrick succumbed to complications from a lung infection Friday.
He was 41.
Kilpatrick, who began working for the TEAM 1200 in 2002, was admitted to the General campus of the Ottawa Hospital last week, suffering from shortness of breath. Kilpatrick was diagnosed as having an infection in his lungs, and his condition quickly deteriorated. He died at about 10 a.m. yesterday.
Kilpatrick was on holidays when the illness struck. He had just returned to Ottawa from New York where he had gone to watch the Yankees play. Kilpatrick was a big fan of the baseball club.
